Kathleen Gati comes from a background of visual and performing arts. Her father is a symphony conductor, her mother an opera singer and her sister an artist. Kathleen wrote, produced, directed and starred in her first theatrical production at the age of eight. Since then, she has produced and acted in over 200 productions on stage and on both the large and small screens, winning two European "Oscars". Go to Kathleen's website for more information.

Other credits include co-producing and co-starring in the feature film "The Diary of The Hurdy Gurdy Man" opposite Brad Dourif. The film, released in Europe last year, also starred William Hickey, Wallace Shawn, Meatloaf and Ann Meara.

She co-produced and hosted the very successful Hungarian Film Festival in Los Angeles last year and secured a distributor for the biggest box office hit of Hungary, "A Kind Of America".

Kathleen's path to filmmaking included ballet, acting, singing, modeling, running her own theater, restaurant and wholesale baking business. She attended the University of Windsor and the University of Washington as a language and theater major.

GATI ARTS PRODUCTIONS, LLC, is her new Los Angeles based company with fresh ideas supported by a staff of top of the line industry professionals. With years of experience in the motion picture and television industry, Kathleen heads this exciting venture producing features, commercials, promotional spots, music videos, and more. GATI ARTS has already completed five commercials, specialty film festivals, and is currently developing two original features.

She recently produced the high tech "Beamer by Vialta" videophone commercial spot, starring Hunter Tylo, and is currently producing the Los Angeles segment of the Russian film, "Reel It In".

 


Before coming to Los Angeles in the early 80's George Kaczender worked at the National Film Board of Canada in Montreal from '56 to '69 where he wrote and directed award winning documentaries and short dramatic features. In '68 he wrote and directed the award winning feature film, "Don't Let the Angels Fall", starring Arthur Hill, that became the first Canadian feature film invited to the main competition at the 1969 Cannes International Film Festival. In 1970 he left the Film Board to work in London with the distinguished producer, Oscar Lewenstein. The same year he became one of the founding partners of International Cinemedia Center in Montreal

In the 70's he directed numerous award winning educational films for Learning Corporation of America and five theatrical feature films before leaving Canada for Hollywood. Among them, "In Praise of Older Women" based on the best-selling novel by S. Vizinczey, and "Chanel Solitaire", the life of Coco Chanel, shot on location in France.

He has worked with stars such as Robert Mitchum, Richard Harris, Jeanne Moreau, Tom Berenger, Karen Black, Brad Pitt, George Clooney. He has also directed numerous movies for network and cable television as well as commercials.

His first novel, "An Unreasonable Notion of Desire", was published in 2000 by Xlibris, a subsidiary of Random House.

One of his screenplays, "The Inquisitor", based on a Howard Fast novel, is going into production next year in Europe. He is set to direct.

George is Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California School of Cinema-Television, teaching film directing.

 


Born in Budapest, Hungary, Peter Foldy spent his early years in Sydney Australia where he first become interested in film after landing work as an teen actor in numerous television commercials. After a family move to Toronto Foldy enrolled in film school, supporting himself by playing music at night with a rock & roll band.

When a record company heard some of his original music, Foldy was quickly signed to a recording contract. His first single, "Bondi Junction" went to Number One on the Canadian charts. He later signed with both Capitol/EMI and RCA Records and sustained a successful music career in Canada as well as internationally.

After years of touring and recording, Foldy found himself in Los Angeles where he once again began thinking about film. He wrote and sold a teen comedy entitled "Hot Moves" which enjoyed considerable theatrical success in the US and Canada. Before long Foldy was writing and directing a number of award-winning short subject films for the educational market place.

Deciding to make the switch to features, Foldy had the good fortune to meet veteran producer, Menahem Golan, who gave him his first shot with "Midnight Witness", a project Foldy wrote, produced and directed.

Other feature films followed, including "Tryst" starring Barbara Carrera, Louise Fletcher and David Warner, the HBO World Premier, "Widow's Kiss" with Beverly D'Angelo, Bruce Davison and Dennis Haybert and "Seeds of Doubt" starring Peter Coyote. He also directed five segments for the Fox television series, "U.S. Customs-Classified", hosted and Executive Produced by Steven J. Cannell.

Foldy's most recent feature film is entitled, "Silver Man" starring Eugene Levy, Joe Pantoliano and Daniel Baldwin. "Silver Man" was awarded Best Film and Foldy was named Best Director at the Planet Indie Film Festival in Toronto. The film was also awarded the Jury Prize for Best Feature at the Tambay Film Festival in Tampa, Florida.

Foldy is currently a co-producer of "My First Time", a reality series for Showtime. The first of 26 episodes began airing in January 2004.

Several new feature films are also in the planning stages and a "Best of Peter Foldy" CD is slated for release this summer.

Joel Sadilek produced the feature film "Stalled", with Persia White (Girlfriends), Ed Edwards (Bounce) and Kai Lennox (Boogie Nights, Pleasantville), which was released into worldwide distribution by Concord/New Horizons in November, 2002. He also associate produced the feature film "Judge Koan", with Stanley Kamel (Melrose Place), Christine Elise (Beverly Hills 90210) and Beth Grant (Rock Star, Pearl Harbor).

Mr. Sadilek production supervised the television pilot "Living Straight", directed by Frank Bonner (WKRP in Cincinnati) with Al Sapenzia (Lethal Weapon 4), Ralph Cole, Jr. (Chris Rock Show), Sandra Purpuro (Oz) and Lyle Waggoner (Carol Burnett Show). In the past year, Joel has line produced second unit for the feature film "The Heat Chamber" and is currently line producing the Los Angeles segment of the Russian film "Reel It In". He also participated in line producing the development of Michael CaleoÕs upcoming feature, "The Last Time", starring Matthew Broderick (The Election, Ferris Bueller).

Joel Sadilek has also held the position of Director of Development and Production at American Film Partners International. In addition to features, Mr. Sadilek produced television commercials and promotional spots for Beamer Video Phone, MTV , Bounty, Puma, and a concert video for the music group, Black Eyed Peas.

Mr. Sadilek has written, produced and directed six shorts including The Summer House (official competition in the Montreal Worldfest, Fajr - Iran), Denver, Cleveland, Silver Lake, Big Bear Lake, Eclipse and Hardacre Best Short International Film Festivals), the award winning "Bud's Day" at the Ballpark and "Castro's Day" in Los Angeles. He also produced the short film "The Rain Has Forgotten Us", directed by Mary-Lyn Chambers and starring Kathleen Gati (Igby Goes Down) and Hayden McFarland (official selection of the Denver and Savannah Film Festivals).

Joel's path to filmmaking included jazz drumming, Drum Corps International, and urban and regional planning. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa, having studied writing, music, and urban geography. He also holds a Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado. After six years in the urban design field, Mr. Sadilek attended the Colorado Film and Video Institute to pursue filmmaking. Additionally, he has studied writing and directing with Judith Weston, and at HFI and UCLA. In his free time, he plays the drums in the LA-based rock band "The Black Lights", recently reviewed in Goldmine magazine.
